About Us

History and Major Accomplishments:

Joyful Sound Productions in an Indianapolis based organization founded in 1992 by Reginald Barney and became a non-profit organization in 1997.

Our main mission is to provide ministry through Gospel music. We embrace the Word of God through song and provide support to enrich the spiritual lives of the gospel community and gospel community youth in the Indianapolis area.

One of our main projects was to produce Gospel concerts in connection with the Circle City Classic football weekend, which occurs on the first weekend of October each year. On Saturday a nationally televised football game is held featuring 2 African American football powers. Our organization is dedicated to putting together a gospel concert once a year held on the eve of the game. We are bringing a Christian alternative to the other local activities taking place that week.

We have consistently brought major recording artist to Indianapolis combined with local talent. We organize a variety program involving a local church, the best of local gospel choirs, and well-known national recording artist.

Our long-term mission is two-fold, to bring the Word of God in song to as many individuals as possible and to help area youth to get an education through scholarships.

Community:

We have provided scholarships, helped the homeless, and added our support to the Ohio River flood victims through a benefit that went through the Red Cross Relief Fund, donated to the Katrina disaster in New Orleans, donated to restoring a church after the Katrina disaster in New Orleans, and contributed to the Circle City Classic scholarship.
